LinkedIn… streamlined for success

You may have noticed recently that LinkedIn has been on a mission to simplify the user experience. You may already be enjoying a simpler and easier experience across your mobile and desktop experiences, but just in case you haven’t, here’s what’s new.

First, check out the redesigned Homepage including the new Profile you now have. I think both have reflected a less “busy” and potentially confusing style… think Foreigner when they went from Head Games to 4 – just cleaner and easier to enjoy.

You should also try the recently revamped mobile application – perfect for mobile users!

What I am most excited about is the new LinkedIn navigation bar – see below:

So what has changed?

As you explore the new navigation bar, you will notice a few visually striking differences, including a simplified menu of tabs to help you quickly and easily locate the features and content that are of most value to you. The search bar is also now front and center to make easier than ever to discover and find what you’re looking for on LinkedIn. I like that!

Don’t worry… your settings and other account options are a click away. Just hover over your profile picture in the upper right hand corner and the drop down menu gives you quick access to your account options, language and settings.

Check out this video I found from LinkedIn to get you started on the new navigation bar today:

I’d love to read your thoughts, and I look forward to more feedback at our next Social Media 101 training in two weeks where we will discuss some of this live. For more info and to RSVP click here.
